The site features streaming episodes that can be either viewed in full or in segments, crew information and portfolios, a special “Wanna Be On TV?” promotional section, and a module connecting other media outlets at the college. I wanted the design to appear fresh and clean, but also rich and full. I achieved this with the use of mild gradients, shadows, and bold graphics.

After the quake

Recently I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with two Canadians who were in Haiti when the devastating earthquake of 12 January 2010 struck Port-au-Prince. Lisa Weber and her son Jamie Dowsett of Waterloo, Ontario were in a small village roughly 35 kilometres from Port-au-Prince when it happened.

Snowy farewell for Student Riots

The Student Riots series is now complete. The last show is all about Christmas celebrations, so I added plenty of red, green, and some gentle snowfall to the site, complete with the ability to stop or start the snow whenever you want. If only controlling the real weather was this easy.

Student Riots

This web project is for a weekly web video series aimed at students. Because of the nature of the show, I wanted to make this website as interactive as possible. Discussion pages allow viewers to share their thoughts on episodes, blogs from hosts are posted regularly, and connections between Twitter, Facebook and Vimeo are all readily available.

What if this was your playground?

This video is for Mines Action Canada, to bring forth public awareness of land mines and cluster bombs, with the simple question of "what if?".

autoBahr

This is a web project I completed for autoBahr Lubrication & Detailing, a new business opening in Kitchener. The design is dark, simple and clean, easy to navigate and reflects the attitude and appeal of this new company and their services.
